China donates 2.2 million doses of COVID 19 vaccine to Ethiopia

China and Ethiopia have signed an agreement for 2.2 million doses of COVID 19 vaccine support to Ethiopia.
The Health Minister, Dr. Lia Tadesse and Ambassador of China to Ethiopia, Zhao Zhiyuan have signed the agreement.
The donation is part of China’s pledge to support endeavors of the African nations in preventing the Coronavirus pandemic, it is stated on the signing ceremony.
China has so far extended 7.5 million doses of Covid 19 vaccine support to Ethiopia in four rounds, the Minister noted, expressing gratitude to the Chinese government for the continued assistance to the nation in the fight against the pandemic.
Ambassador Zhao Zhiyuan also pledged China’s continued support to Ethiopia in preventing the Coronavirus pandemic in a sustainable manner.
