Their visit was a meaningful occasion to express deep appreciation and respect for Ethiopia’s courage and dedication during the 1950 Korean War, and to help veterans who are currently in distress.
Infresh, a Korean Company, was at the heart of this assistance.
They sponsor rice to 59 surviving families of veterans,
They expressed hope and comfort in their hard lives.
The sincerity in a grain of rice goes beyond just material support,
The message was “Korea still remembers you.”
The veteran, who received rice support on this day, could not hide his emotion,
“It is so touching that you remember how we fought for Korea. I will never forget this love and respect for Korea,” he said.
In response, an Infresh official said, “We just did what we were supposed to do. It is our mission to thank and support veterans of 16 countries including Ethiopia, and we will step up at any time.”
In 2023, Infresh worked with the Korean War Memorial Association to provide free eye checkups and surgeries to veterans and their families who could not even be treated for mild eye diseases, showing deep gratitude and respect for the participating countries. The appearance of Koreans who do not forget and continue their relationship with respect after 70 years have passed since the outbreak of the Korean War will remain a deep symbol of friendship and respect beyond the years.
