MAURITIUS 7s by CIEL & Total Energies

Mauritius Rugby Federation (https://Mauritius.Rugby/) today launched the Mauritius 7s by CIEL&Total Energies Rugby Africa Men’s Sevens which they will be hosting from June 29-07th July 2024. 

The Labourdonnais Sports Club will be the stage for the Mauritius 7s sponsored by CIEL&Total Energies Mauritius. Get ready to experience intense moments of rugby 7’s that will make your heart race. 

Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Burkina Faso, Madagascar, Nigeria, Tunisia, Ghana, Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire and Mauritius are the 12 teams that will compete in this tournament. 

Fans will witness a high-level sporting spectacle that showcases the diversity of rugby. Discipline, respect, integrity, passion, and solidarity are the core values of this exceptional tournament.

Rugby 7s is a fast-paced and spectacular sport that promises an exhilarating experience.

Mohammed VI Foundation of Sciences and Health Presents at GITEX Africa 2024

The Mohammed VI Foundation of Sciences and Health (FM6SS) announces its participation in GITEX Africa 2024 (https://GITEXAfrica.com), a major technological innovation event in Africa, organised under the High Patronage of His Majesty The King Mohammed VI. This important event is a unique platform that brings together professionals, opinion leaders, and exhibitors from around the globe to present the latest technological innovations and trends.

The FM6SS entities that will take part in this event include Mohammed VI University of Sciences and Health, Mohammed VI International University Hospital of Bouskoura, Mohammed VI International Center for Research and Innovation, Mohammed VI Center for Continuing Education, Mohammed VI National Laboratory for Medical Analysis, Mohammed VI National Laboratory for Anatomopathology, and Mohammed VI International Center for Simulation in Science and Health.

As part of their participation at the GITEX Africa 2024, the directors took part in a panel discussion on Thursday, May 30th 2024, under the theme “Building a digital health ecosystem for excellence in training and care: the Mohammed VI Foundation of Sciences and Health – FM6SS – a model.” The topics focused on the strategy for an integrated health and science ecosystem, new skills and jobs in the digitised health sector, innovative medical education with simulation and Artificial Intelligence (AI), telemedicine, training of health professionals through AI, accelerating research with AI and digital technologies, and the importance of hospital information systems.

As part of this global event, the Mohammed VI Foundation of Sciences and Health has entered into a partnership with KAOUN International FZE, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), whose mission is to create connections for the industries and markets in which it operates. This partnership positions FM6SS as a key partner of the World Future Health event at GITEX, highlighting its commitment to fostering meaningful exchanges in the fields of education, health, and research on a global scale.

During its participation in GITEX AFRICA 2024, Elm signs Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sénégal Numérique to explore collaboration opportunities

Elm (www.Elm.sa), a leading digital solutions provider, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sénégal Numérique during its participation at GITEX AFRICA 2024, one of the region’s largest tech events. The event, which ran from May 29 to 31, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco, was held under the supervision of the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, in partnership with the Agency for Digital Development (ADD) in the Kingdom of Morocco. Through the MoU, both parties will leverage their combined capabilities to foster bilateral collaboration in targeted markets.

The MoU, signed by Al-Ameen Al-Hazmi, Chief Integrated Solutions Officer at Elm, and Cheikh Bakhoum, Director General of the Sénégal Numérique, outlines Elm’s collaboration with Sénégal Numérique in creating and operating a digital archiving centre. They will also seek financial partners to fund the project and develop the IT infrastructure to benefit government agencies in Senegal. Furthermore, the agreement includes provisions under which the two parties can agree to explore additional cooperation opportunities during its validity period. The latest MoU aligns with Elm’s vision to effectively empower local companies and accelerate digital transformation.

Breaking News: African Leadership Magazine Announces Winners for 14th African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA) 2024

The African Leadership Magazine (ALM) (https://www.AfricanLeadershipMagazine.co.uk/) is pleased to unveil the winners of the 14th African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA) 2024, following the meticulous implementation of the 3-step points-based system, which included a call for nominations, an online poll that concluded on Wednesday, 22 May 2024, and the ALM editorial board’s comprehensive review of the vote entries and supporting evidence of the nominees’ achievements over the past year and beyond. The poll accounted for 65% of the points while supporting evidence contributed 35% to the final selection process.

The ABLA winners will receive their award trophies and other instruments of honour during the 14th African Business Leadership Awards presentation ceremony, a special component of the 9th ALM Africa Summit, scheduled for 17 – 18 July 2024 at the UK House of Lords. The event will be held under the theme- “Africa Unleashed: Navigating Disruptions, Enhancing Opportunities.”
