Totalenergies prizes three winners of the third round of startup of the year challenge from Ethiopia

As it has been announced that winners will receive financial support amounting to 370,000 birr, and will get coaching for the development of their project
Winner entrepreneurs were selected by local jury comprised of experts, Natnael Alemayehu with Haleta Tutors project, Hoheyat Berhanu with Husky Energy and Technologies and Mihiret Redi with Dynamo Center for Technology are said to be the three winners from Ethiopia.
Additionally each winner of this edition will have their project presented in front of a “Grand Jury” in charge of choosing, in mid-May, the three “Grand Winners” of the African continent amongst the 32 countries.
The winners were awarded during an official award ceremony organised on May 11, 2022 at Hyatt Regency Hotel, Addis Ababa.
The third round was launched with the aim to support young African entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35. “All business creation project holders and young innovative startups with a positive impact on their communities and the planet can participate,” stated TotalEnergies.
In Ethiopia, 888 applications were submitted, of which 355 were complete, and 15 finalists were able to pitch their project before the local jury.
