New rhythm of music: Wegdayit debuts a masterpiece album

A debut album released by an up and coming Ethiopian artist Wegdayit is taking the music industry by storm owing to a distinct fusion of indigenous Ethiopian and African sound and literature, with music enthusiasts showing love across social media platforms.
Wegdayit who is a writer and singer has been honing his craft since childhood and his passion for music has now paid dividends in his latest endeavor with his first studio album titled “ASALAFI” which debuted on June 1 2023; which mirror his masterful representation of musical prowess.
“I have always been inspired by simplicity and the pursuit of a career in the music industry,” stated Wegdayit, in his album release, adding, “I aim to create a genuine sound of ‘Tiru Musika’ a genre that represents my artistic vision.”
The music industry has now been set abuzz with the arrival of this promising artist.
Wegdayit recently released a captivating music video that has garnered positive feedback. The video showcases his unique style and shows his ability to captivate audiences with his unique story telling.
“I believe that this work will contribute to the revolution of Ethiopia and Africa music through the fusion of traditional and contemporary elements. I hope to create a musical experience that resonates with audiences across the globe,” stated the musical protégé.
