Africa Quantum Summit 2025 to position continent as key player in global quantum technology landscape

The Africa Quantum Summit 2025: Kenya Edition will take place on 23-24 October 2025 at Strathmore University in Nairobi, Kenya, marking a historic milestone in Africa’s quantum technology journey. The event is organised by QuantumKe in partnership with Africa Quantum Consortium and Strathmore University.  Themed “Empowering Africa’s Quantum Future: Innovation, Collaboration, and Inclusion”, the summit aims to establish Africa as a strategic contributor to the global quantum revolution.

Aligned with the United Nations’ International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ 2025), this ground-breaking hybrid event will bring together a diverse community of stakeholders – including researchers, industry leaders, government officials, investors, and students – to explore the transformative potential of quantum technologies across the continent.

The summit will address critical thematic areas including quantum diplomacy, quantum education and workforce development, quantum computing research, quantum applications for industry, and quantum entrepreneurship in Africa. Participants will examine how quantum technologies can revolutionise key sectors such as computing, healthcare, finance, cybersecurity, and education.
