Speed limiter regulation
The Ministry of Transport and Logistics improved speed limit device implementation regulation. According to the regulation new vehicles entering the country were required to install speed limiters in addition to other preconditions and to provide proof of compliance with established standards.
Accordingly the Ministry decided to provide the service without the need for a speed limiter.
As the Ministry has announced in a statement, it improved the implementation of the speed limit device until it further investigate and address the problem of malpractice and good governance and to find a lasting solution.
Therefore, it decided that the owners who import new vehicles will have to install the service at any time, sign the binding agreement and attach the necessary documents, without having to install a speed limiter on the vehicles, the ministry said.

“እንደሚታወቀው ወደ ሃገራችን በሚገቡ አዳዲስ ተሽከርካሪዎች ከሌሎች ቅደመ ሁኔታዎች በተጨማሪነት የፍጥነት መገደቢያ መሳሪያ የማስገጠምና በተቀመጠም ስታንዳርድ መሰረት መገጠሙን የሚያረጋግጥ ማስረጃ የማቅረብ ግዴታ ነበረባቸው፡፡”
ይሁንና በአተገባበሩ ላይ እየታየ ያለውን ብልሹ አሰራርና የመልካም አስተዳደር ችግሮችን ለመፈተሸ እና ዘላቂ መፍትሄ ለመስጠት የሚያስችል አሰራርና አደረጃጀት ተጠናቆ ተግባራዊ እስኪደረግ ድረስ እንዲሁም የፍጥነት መገደቢያ መሳሪያው ሊገጠምባቸው የሚገባቸው ተሸከርካሪዎች አይነትና ሌሎች ተያያዥ ችግሮችን በጥናት ምላሽ መስጠት በማስፈለጉ በፍጥነት መገደቢያ መሣሪያ አተገባበር ላይ ማሻሻያ ማደረጉን የትራንስፓርትና ሎጂስቲክ ሚኒስቴር በላከው መግለጫ አስታውቋል፡፡
ስለሆነም አዲስ ተሽከርካሪዎችን ወደ ሃገር ውስጥ የሚያስገቡ ባለንብረቶች በማንኛውም ጊዜ መግጠም እንዳለባቸው አውቀው የግዴታ ስምምነቱን እየፈረሙና አስፈላጊ ሰነዶቻቸውን በአባሪነት እንዲያያይዙ ተደርጎ በተሽከርካሪዎች ላይ የፍጥነት መገደቢያ መሳሪያ መግጠም ሳያስፈልጋቸው አገልግሎቱን እንዲያገኙ ተወስኗል ሲል ሚኒስቴር መስሪያ ቤቱ አስታውቋል፡፡
CBE, EagleLion launch GetRooms to ease hotel bookings
Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) in collaboration with EagleLion System Technology launched an app, GetRooms, a mobile application for guests to book hotel rooms. The application gives them access to hotel services on their smartphone or tablet. GetRooms will be the second app for booking rooms in the country after Room.et which was launched few months back.
