Responsibilities also include working with U.S. and host country government agencies and industries to resolve trade complaints, issues of non-compliance with host country import regulations, and administering market development programs. The incumbent develops and maintains key professional and social relationships (mid-to-high levels) to exchange information and gain cooperation on substantive trade and agricultural policy matters. 1. Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Food and Agricultural Marketing, Agriculture, Agribusiness, International Trade, or Public Policy is required. 2. Required Experience: For Grade LE 10 is: Minimum four years of work experience in one or more fields of agricultural economics, agricultural policy, commodity trade, and marketing analysis/research that includes extensive analysis and report writing on complex subjects. | 3. Language Requirement: Fluency in Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. Fluency in Speaking/Reading/Writing Amharic is required. (These may be tested) 4. Skills and abilities: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to create documents and spreadsheets, maintain and update databases, and develop presentations. Use of FAS specialized software and data analysis programs. Must be knowledgeable in analyzing agricultural production, global agricultural trade concepts, and economic supply/demand concepts. Required to analyze and apply complex statistical data and maintain data sets for accurate commodity and trade reporting. Drafts highly specialized reports on markets and trade policy. Must have excellent time management skills to cope with the diversity of work and deadlines. Submission Requirement
Submission of bids should be done as per the below requirements:
A) Any query or clarification regarding this bid shall be sent via email to supplyaddisababa@unicef.org before or on Monday, October 28, 2024, before COB. When sending your request for clarification, please ensure that you specify the LRFQ number in the subject email and provide the name of your company, contact person, email, and mobile number.
B) The LRFQ reference and whether the submission is Technical or Financial should be indicated in the subject of the email.
Proposals must be submitted into two PDF attachments within one email:
The email must consist of clearly (Quotation Form, Technical Specifications, Company Profile, Financial Statements, Certificates and Licenses, References, Compliance Documents, Bid Security, signed declaration, scanned legal and credential documents) as outlined in the RFQ and any information relating to prices or fees. The attachment must be titled LRFQ-2024-9193708 – Technical & Financial offer – (Company Name).
C) Disclosure: Any hard copy bid submission will be automatically disqualified. The due date for submission is Wednesday October 30, 2024, @3:00 PM. Full proposals should be submitted in ENGLISH via email to the ETH-Addis Ababa Supply at supplyaddisababa@unicef.org.
D) To reduce the risk of late delivery, emails should be sent in good time before the deadline for bid submission.
