ERC has also announced the tariff (pls see the table). According to the statement, the tariff for cargo consignment is USD 0.051 per ton/km.

According to the statement that ERC sent, for the first 15 days as of January 3 the price of shuttle has a 50 percent discount. The two Chinese companies that undertake the construction work will manage the operation for the coming few years.

Long serving head coach Mesay Teferi, was fired from Wolayta Dicha
after a humiliating away defeat to regional rival Sidama Bunna. Arbaminch also booted out Tsegaye Kidanemariam just two months into his new, two year contract.
Even though he had lead the team for nine years, after three losses in a row the executive body decided to hand him his marching orders. tsegaye-kidanemariam
The hero turned villain Mesay not only steered the side to promotion, last year the team earned their first major trophy in the Ethiopian knock-out championship.
The team had many talented local players move to big name clubs to earn millions. The team spent a lot of money to transfer foreign players but it didn’t work as the team faltered over its last eight games.
Despite a historic place in the African Confederation Cup, Dicha is currently bottom of the table with five points from one win, two draws and five defeats; including two at home against Adama and Mekele. “I am grateful to the club that gave me such happiness and wish the best for the future,” Mesay stated.
In the meantime the coach strongly blamed for Ethiopia Neged Bank’s disbandment Tsegaye K/Mariam once again got the boot from aback following a 3-1 home defeat to newly promoted Jimma Aba Jifar. Tsegaye who had been sacked in mid-season last year from NegedBank, joined Arbaminch at the start of the season promising to help the side back to the old glory days. Despite signing a number of new players including four foreigners, the former Trans, Harar Birra, Ethiopia Bunna and NegedBank failed to deliver as the team sits 14th with six points from eight matches. “It is hard to coach a team that has huge burdens. I may take some rest or be back with a team in two weeks confident Tsegaye who is already rumored to take over at Diredawa remarked.

Premier League Coaches’ “Merry Go Round” in high swing

The Ethiopian Premier League coaching carousel reached its zenith after four coaches were fired recently. Wolayta Dicha’s Mesay Teferi was sacked and speculation is high that Sidama Bunna’s Alemayehu Abayneh and Woldya’s Zemariam W/Girogis will follow suit.
Although Jimma AbaJifar’s Gebremedin Haile was thought to be the first to go, two successive wins against Ethiopia Bunna followed by a win over Arbaminch, not only saved his hide but leap frog the team to third place.
Instead his friend since playing days Tsegaye K/Mariam, Ethio-Electric’s Berhanu Bayu who has struggled with relegation for three years Wolayta Dicha’s MesayTeferi, who lost three games in a row, were axed on the same day and Diredawa’s Zelalem Shiferaw’s resignation was accepted by the club, after he lost six in a row.
The sacking is not what is amazing rather it is the post sacking that takes ones breath out. Tsegaye already announced loudly he would be back in less than two weeks and as the rumor goes he already joined Diredawa.
Zelalem Shiferaw is much anticipated to take over at bottom of the table Wolayta Dicha. According to unofficial sources Mesay Teferi will not be far from his locality as he is rumored to replace Tsegaye at Arbaminch where he served as a player. Two things are common among the three coaches: they were big spenders at the winter transfer, signing a number of foreign players and they were ready to run to another team for a better salary and significant signing bonus. What a joke! The only remaining coaches, Electric’s Berhanu and his assistant Ermias are expected to take long annual leaves before going back to their office work since they are regular employees of Ethiopian Electric Utility.

Afolabi, Kalusha leading scorers

Nigerian, international striker Okiki Afolabi, who plays for Jimma AbaJifar and Ethio-Electrics Ghanaian target man, Alhasen Kalusha are the top scorers in the Ethiopia Premier League.
Upcoming striker Abel Yalew is getting noticed after five impressive goals with Dedebit FC.
AbaJifar’s start was unexpected. However, two important wins against Ethiopia Bunna and Arbaminch o along with a hat trick from Affolabi means AbaJifar resides third in the table with 11 points from eight matches. They have scored seven goals while conceding four. Six of the goals are in the name of the 23 year old former Nigerian U-17 and U-21 squad member Affolabi considered by team supporters as the savior.
Alhasen Kalusha is also a savior out of the blue for Electric hammering in seven of the nine goals that the team has scored this season. What is amazing about the Ghanaian striker is that many of his goals have come from personal brilliancy as opposed to team work. He is considered one of the few outstanding foreign players to grace Ethiopian football. Despite an inefficient squad Kalusha’s contribution helped Ethio-Electric shock Ethiopia Bunna 2-1 victory on Wednesday to sit 12th in the table with eight points from seven matches
