Jigjiga welcomes students at Karamara Mountain

Jigjiga University and the city residents welcomed students going to the city gate, Karamara Mountain, in collaboration with religious leaders. Jigjiga, which is the capital of the Somali region, witnessed its worst ethnic conflict last year and many students were afraid to return to the university. After the appointment of a new regional president Mustafa Omer and the appearance of his new cabinet, the region is reported to be in relatively stable condition.
The University community including the president and vice presidents were present for the reception at the city gate.
