Hard to believe that it’s only been a year since PM Abiy Amhed (PhD) came to power and completely changed the political, social and economic life in Ethiopia. To celebrate the first anniversary, the Prime Minister’s Office held a two-day forum called: “Addis Weg” (New Tale). Opened by President Sehalework Zewde, the event at Sheraton Addis looked at the strengths and challenges facing the current and future Ethiopia. During the Forum held on March 22 and 23, thought leaders, political figures and successful businesspeople led panel discussions on: democracy and its challenges, the economy, jobs, and foreign policy.
