Netsa Arts Village

Alliance Ethio-francaise opens the world of art studios. No paintings are nicely displayed on the walls but rather a jumble of objects, photos, personal souvenirs, magazines, and all sort of elements made up of the artists’ inspirational environments.
Ten artists from NETSA Art Village have collectively created their own art studio through their own messy, cluttered and incredibly inspiring stuff. It is open for every one for free. It is also open for artists to create and make their own art at the studio.
Netsa Arts Village was established in 2008 by eleven graduates of Addis Ababa University’s School of Fine Arts and Design with the aim of promoting contemporary art in Ethiopia and giving emerging artists a platform for exchange and discussion with a forum for networking, communication, and dynamic interactions.
