state Minister Dr. Aklilu meets with Turkish investors

State Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Diaspora Affairs, Dr. Aklilu Hailemichael held discussions with Turkish investors.
A group of Turkish investors headed by Turkish Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ambassador Fatih Ulusoy discussed with Dr. Aklilu on ways of further expanding their investments in Ethiopia.
These group of investors include representatives from AYKA ADDIS and YAPI MERKEZI as well as other textile companies.
State Minister Dr. Aklilu Hailemichael took note of the key role Turkish companies are playing in Ethiopia in terms of creating employment opportunities, supporting the industrialization process in the country as well as facilitating technology transfer.
Ambassador Fatih Ulusoy on his part appreciated the commitment and support of the government of Ethiopia to Turkish investors.
Turkey, he said, would continue to be one of the major sources of FDI to Ethiopia.
The group of Turkish investors also commended the encouragement and support they have been receiving from the government of Ethiopia.
They reiterated their determination to work more closely with the government of Ethiopia.
The State Minister further said the government of Ethiopia would continue to extend support to Turkish investors.
