The FDRE Ministry of Innovation and Technology and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) launched today “The road to Addis: Shaping the 2021 digital development conference” a virtual kickoff event between Addis and Geneva. The event was officially kicked off by a signing ceremony to host WTDC in Ethiopia. An official countdown started on November 8, 2020 to The World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC – 21) to be held in 2021.
The WTDC -21 will be hosted by the government of Ethiopia from November 08 – 19, 2021 in Addis Ababa. This conference will be the first WTDC ever hosted in Africa.
This event will be preceded by “The Road to Addis”, a series of events hosted by ITU, which aims to build momentum towards the WTDC, strengthen partnerships and engagement and help shape, with key stakeholders, the WTDC agenda.
