Unbeaten throughout the season Dedebit took home the trophy with 44 points three points clear of cross City rival Ethiopia NegedBank.
Though the former champions NegedBank trumped Saint George to a 4-1 score line with midfielder HiwotDengeso grabbing a braid they finished runner-up for third successive season with 41 points after 12 wins, five draws and a single defeat.
After a 2-1 season c losing home victory over visitors Adama “The Army Side” Mekelakya finished third collects 27 points. Hawassa grabbed third spot with 25 points while Adama finished fourth in goal differences.

Currently in trial with fellow Ethiopia NegedBank mid fielder RehimaZergaw in Sweden Women’s League, many believe Loza’s professional destination is soon to come true. Ethiopia NegedBank striker RehimaZergaw finished runner-up with 12 goals followed by rising star Sara Nebeso of Gedeo-Dilla.

Ethiopian Premier League former top scorer of the season Samuel Sanumi left back to his country even though the current season is not over. Relegation threatened Ethio-Electric, Arbaminch and Diredawa are also without their foreign players for the do or die season closing fixtures.
Thanks to the inefficiency of the Ethiopian Football Federation executive body, the 2018 Premier League season is over stretched. As a result many of the foreign players that already served out their contract left back home to have their vacation while their respective sides are in huge survival season closing fixtures. The repercussion is so huge on those teams relegated but with no one accountable for the dooms day.
Thirteen goals in his name in the current top scorers’ race as well that helped Ethiopia Bunna to title contention until the final two fixtures, Samuel Sanumi left the club because both his residence and work permit expired as of 7th June 2018. US and China fire first shots in USD 34bln trade war
US tariffs on USD 34 billion of Chinese goods have come into effect, signalling the start of a trade war between the world’s two largest economies.
The 25% levy came into effect at midnight Washington time.
China has retaliated by imposing a similar 25% tariff on 545 items US imports worth a total of 34 billion USD.
Beijing accused the US of starting the “largest trade war in economic history”.
“The Chinese side, having vowed not to fire the first shot, is forced to stage counter-attacks to protect the … interests of its people,” the Chinese Commerce Ministry said.
Earlier this year Donald Trump ordered the US to impose tariffs on USD 50 billion dollars worth of Chinese goods and the first round of these tariffs kicked in on Friday.
The imposition of the tariffs had little impact on Asian stock markets. Shanghai fell in morning trade before recovering to be 0.6% higher, while Hong Kong and Tokyo both rose 1.3%.
Attorney General relieves heads of prisons
The Federal Attorney General said it has relieved heads of detention centers from their posts.
According to Attorney General BerhanuTsegaye, they were relieved of their posts for failing to discharge their responsibilities and respect prisoners’ human rights.
They were replaced by new heads, he said.
The Attorney General called on the new heads to respect and protect human rights in accordance with the constitution.
