Women Percolate

Ethiopian women in coffee sectoral association celebrated international coffee day with the theme ‘Collaborate-enable impact’ on Thursday at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel calling for people in the business to improve coffee’s value chains.
“We believe in collaboration as it fosters our commitment to our women in the coffee chain including producers, roasters, exporters, cuppers and enhancing capacity building training to gain the maximum benefit, said Meseret Desta Board Chairwomen of the Association.
The long-term partnership aims to have an impact on the livelihood of women which are the backbone of coffee sector.
The sectorial association need to work on creating Ethiopian brands coffees by engaging in international coffee expos and improving value addition related to tourism.
Established in September 2016, the sectorial association has over 40 active members working to empower women in the coffee chain.
